Sigma 46mm WR UV Filter

SIGMA WR filters enable easier handling while shooting and feature excellent water and oil repellent as well as having an antistatic function.

These WR filters are available in various sizes. UV type filters cut out ultraviolet rays that would normally have a negative effect on your images.

UV (SIGMA WR FILTER)

UV filter prevents the bluish tone that generates when the weather is fine, by absorbing ultraviolet rays. It is effective in most situations, such as landscape, portrait and general photography on a sunny day. It is also an ideal filter for regular use as it is completely colorless so does not affect color reproduction.

It is designed to avoid vignetting or the decrease in peripheral light quantities especially when the thinner wide type filters are used with SIGMA lenses.

Ultra Low-reflection

By incorporating Sigma's Super Multi-Layer Coating, the filter reduces flare and ghosting. In addition, black rimmed glass eliminates unnecessary internal reflections, and provides high performance for both digital cameras and film cameras.

Water and Oil-repellent function (SIGMA WR FILTER)

With excellent Water and Oil repellent functions, the filter surface repels water drops and provides resistance to fingerprints, and even if they appear on the surface, they can be easily removed.

Antistatic function

With excellent antistatic performance, the filter prevents microscopic dust clinging to the surface. Even if the lens gets soiled, dust can be easily removed using an air-blower.

Thinner wide type (from 46mm to 82mm)

By incorporating thinner frame (except 86mm, 95mm and 105mm) to avoid vignetting even with super wide-angle lenses, it is ideal for various types of lenses from wide-angle to telephoto. Moreover, a lens cap can be attached as the edge of frame is threaded.
